California

This past week was great and totally relaxing. I spent the week with a good friend of mine that is now going to Graduate school at UC Davis for winemaking. How cool is that?! We toured around her town and the surrounding areas, tried new restaurants and talked with the locals. We also spent two days up in wine country towards the end of the week. Sonoma County is absolutely gorgeous! I could definitely see myself spending time there in the future. We visited six different wineries and tasted all different kinds of wine. There is so much to learn about the process and intricacies of winemaking! I may have to take a step up now from my Two-Buck Chuck from Trader Joe’s. : )

We spent the last night attending a fantastic concert put on by Tainted Love. I photographed this group two years ago when I was living out in Los Angeles (Click Here to View Those Images). I was contacted last week by the manager of the band to possibly photograph them again in Los Angeles at the Key Club. If only I could fly out from Wisconsin to photograph the group again. But, they happened to be playing at UC Davis for the Veterinary School Symposium! Twenty-Eight vet schools from around the country gathered in Davis, California for the week and ended on Friday with an 80’s concert. Some of the Vet students insisted Lauren and I at least put our hair in a side pony. I’ve included a photo that was taken with Lauren’s phone at the end.

I need to listen to more 80’s music.
